What To Do When Your Articles Are Not Being Published

Many seasoned writers take it for granted that their articles will get published. However, many people ask why their writing is not getting published. Here are ten points to troubleshoot where the problem lies.

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling
(1) Use Microsoft Word to weed out any grammar errors and wrong spellings.
(2) Be careful with your punctuation and capitalization.Did you put a space after your full-stops? Did you capitalize your “I”? Sometimes too when you use italics on some sites the word in italics gets stuck to the word following it.
(3) Do not rely on Google Translate to write your articles or any other translation software for that matter. No translation software is perfect and it is easy to tell when translation software was used.Use it as an aid but do not rely heavily on it.

Content
(4) Do not use too many expressions that are not English as most sites say that they only publish in English.
(5) Make sure that you do not use any inappropriate language – swearing, cursing, obscenity.
(6) Be sure to write an article that has good content.

I have gone to some webpages on the net that were literally only strings of keywords and no content! At least ungrammatical content would have been better.
(7) Make your article at least 250-300 words. Some articles on some sites are only one paragraph which is much too short.
(8) Do not use an article spinner unless English is your first language.By itself it does not give you good quality articles.Personally I have nothing against article spinners if you spin your own material and not the articles of others. It is just like using a dictionary but you the writer must play an essential part. However, your English must be good enough to use it or you will make a mess and readers will assume that you plagiarized someone else’s article. They will not believe that it is a case of “I can do bad all by myself.”
(9) Make sure your points and paragraphs flow logically and are not stated in a random, haphazard manner.

Be careful when you quote
(10) Do not quote too much because most writing sites will say that it is “Duplicate Content.” You can quote me on that.I have had a few articles declined because I quoted a nursery rhyme in order to discuss it.There were times when I quoted from the Bible and my article was declined because other sites quoting the whole chapter had two or three same verses.Either paraphrase some of your quotations, delete some of it or just post your article to Hubpages or Bukisa.

Once you follow the above ten points I see no reason why your work will not be published since there are popular writers that make grammatical mistakes in their articles all the time.In the case of Triond, to speed up publication just do a minor edit of your article.Sometimes just adding or deleting a word or two sends your article through from the “Pending” section to publication! Lastly, if you have done all of the above and your articles are still not being published, what has proven helpful for some is to re-register with the target site using a new username and email address.
